Zaynab Abdullovna Biisheva was born in the 15th of January in 1908 in the village of Tuembetovo, Kugarchinsky region of Bashkortostan, in the teacher’s family. She became an orphan in a very early age. Her mother died when she was three years old and she lost her father at the age of eleven. Her first knowledge she got while studying in the village of Ibraevo, then she entered the Institute of Education in Orenburg. It was there she felt her thirst for literature and she wrote her first verses and stories.
After graduating from the Institute at first she worked at school as a teacher, then – in newspaper and magazine editors, in publishing house and on the radio.
Her first book “The Partizan Boy” was published in 1942. From that time more than 60 books had been published in different languages of Russia and of the world.
Zaynab Biisheva, the national writer of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the prosiest, the poet, the playwright and the interpreter, the Laureate of the State Prize of Salavat Yulayev, she was a multifaceted writer working in different genres. Also she wrote some works for children and teenagers, among them there was the play “Friendship”, the story “Let’s be friends”, dozens of poems and tales. In her works Zaynab Biisheva was fond of strong persons who devoted themselves to their people and motherland.
